Meaning & Purpose
Swahili Jamboree is an annual social platform event brought into existence for the purpose of bringing together Swahili and non-Swahili speakers from around the globe to share, learn, promote, celebrate, and educate each other about Swahili culture.
The term Swahili Jamboree refers to a celebration or gathering heavily influenced by Swahili culture, with the word "Jamboree" itself coming from the Swahili greeting "Jambo" which means "hello" – signifying a large, joyful gathering with a Swahili theme.

The Origins of Kiswahili
